Arseniy, whose transfer cost an estimated 1.8 million euros, could debut for his new club tomorrow, in the Europa League match against Rapid
Defender Arseniy Batagov already moved from Dawn V Trabzonspor. This was reported by Turkish media, and the corresponding information also appeared on the Transaermarkt resource.
According to available information, the transfer of the 22-year-old player cost the Turkish club 1.8 million euros. It is reported that the Ukrainian will even have time to get into the application of his new club for the match of the third qualifying round of the Europa League against the Austrian Rapid, which will take place tomorrow, August 8.
Let us recall that at the end of last week it became known that the Luhansk team received an offer from Trabzornspor for Batagov. The approximate amount of the deal was said to be within 2-2.5 million euros.
The centerback played for Dnipro, SK Dnipro-1, Poliesie in Ukraine, and became a Zorya player in the summer of 2022. Last season, Batagov played in 31 matches for the Luhansk team, scoring two goals and giving three assists.
Zorya took tenth place in the last UPL draw. In the first round of the new season, Yuriy Koval’s team will play Ingulets tomorrow, August 4.
Earlier, the Turkish club considered Ukrainian Mykola Shaparenko from Dynamo among the main candidates to strengthen the midfield. Trabzonspor stopped trying to make the transfer due to the high cost of the player.
Trabzonspor finished third in the Turkish championship last season, earning a spot in the Europa League qualification. At the start of the qualification, the Turkish club easily defeated Slovakian Ruzomberok.
