“Congratulations to Teams USA and Japan on winning gold and silver medals at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. These athletes have finally received the rewards they deserve,” the ISU said in a statement.
Russia, which received bronze medals after Kamila Valieva’s suspension, is not mentioned in the message. Russian figure skaters were not invited to the ceremony.
