The woman posted unconfirmed information about the Chinese national team representatives immediately after the women’s singles final at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.
The police statement said the woman “deliberately fabricated information and openly defamed the names of athletes, which had a negative impact on society.”
Last week, China’s Chen Meng defeated his compatriot Sun Yingsha in the final of the 2024 Olympic Games. It is worth noting that throughout the match, fans in the stands actively supported Sun Yingsha and booed Chen Meng. After the match, social media users criticized this strange behavior of the fans.
