The Chinese synchronized swimming team won gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics in group competitions.
Chinese athletes showed the best results in all three programs, scoring a total of 996.1389 points. American synchronized swimmers won silver with 914.3421 points and the Spanish team took bronze (900.7319).
At the last Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Russian synchronized swimmers won gold in this program. Then the Russian national team was represented by Vlada Chigireva, Marina Golyadkina, Svetlana Kolesnichenko, Polina Komar, Alexandra Patskevich, Svetlana Romashina, Alla Shishkina and Maria Shurochkina.
Synchronized swimming has been part of the Olympic program since 1984. Group competitions have been held since 1996. Since 2000, the Russians have regularly won both duet and group events. Russian synchronized swimmers will not participate in the Paris Olympics.
