Athletistic/Figure skating. Tatiana Tarasova, Honored Figure Skating Coach of the USSR, commented on the rewarding of American and Japanese figure skaters in Paris and the absence of Russian athletes entitled to bronze.

“The awards ceremony always evokes positive emotions, but I am offended that our athletes were not invited. This is unacceptable. The leadership of any organization should treat everyone equally – all countries and all athletes. The desire to humiliate Russia and our skaters is clearly evident here. This is a terrible and unacceptable act that should not happen again.

Of course, sooner or later they will give us the medals, but without any ceremony. Maybe we should hold our ceremony in Russia. Although it is not the same as an official award, I think our skaters deserve to have their achievements recognized,” Tarasova said in an interview with Sport24.

Let us recall that after the disqualification of Kamila Valieva, the medals were redistributed: Russia moved up to third place, gold went to the USA and silver to Japan.
