3000m steeplechase world record holder Lamecha Girma Ethiopian was injured in the final race of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

In the last lap of the race, 23-year-old Girma was running in the leading group, but during a jump he collided with a barrier, hit his head on the track and fell motionless. As a result, the athlete did not finish.
