Russian Olesya Romasenko finished fifth in his qualifying heat for the 200m canoe single event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Romasenko showed a result of 49.83 seconds. The first in this race was Canadian Sofia Jensen (46.80). Spaniard Antia Jacome finished second (47.35), the top 3 was completed by Uzbekistan’s Nilufar Zokirova (48.98).
The athletes who occupy the first two places at the end of each race advance to the semi-finals of the competition, the others go to the quarter-finals.
The quarter-finals will take place on Thursday at 13:40 Moscow time. The semi-final will take place on Saturday, August 10.
