Athletistic / Figure skating. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will transfer the bronze medals to Russia at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, for the team figure skating tournament, the press service of the International Skating Union (ISU) reported.
“In our statement of August 7, we reported that representatives of Russia would not be able to attend the award ceremony of the medalists of the team figure skating tournament of the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing due to the Russian Olympic Committee’s suspension of the transfer of bronze medals to Russian figure skaters,” TASS quotes the statement of ISU representatives.

On August 7, an awards ceremony for figure skaters took place near the Eiffel Tower in Paris: the American team received gold medals and the Japanese team received silver. The awards ceremony took place two and a half years later, as the investigation into the doping scandal involving Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva lasted about two years.
