Athletistic / Olympic Games. The press secretary of the Ukrainian national wrestling team, as well as Ukrainian wrestler Oksana Livach, reacted negatively to the journalist’s request to communicate in Russian after the end of the competition at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris (France).
When asked by a Sport-Express journalist whether Livach gave interviews to Russian media, she categorically answered “no.” The press attaché of the Ukrainian team added that she was ready to speak “only in Ukrainian or English.” When a correspondent of a Russian media outlet agreed to such conditions, all the representatives of the delegation simply walked past him in silence.
Interestingly, a Ukrainian journalist, standing next to the Russian correspondent, reacted to this. She said the following: “Do you even have the audacity to harass? This is just terrible!” In response to this, the Sport Express journalist said that he was simply doing his job.
- See it for yourself. Russia has announced a boycott of the Paris Olympics.
On August 7, Oksana Livach lost to Japan’s Yui Susaki with a score of 0:10 in the fight for the bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games.
