Korean Kim Yu-Jin Wins Gold in Taekwondo in the 57-Kilogram Category at the 2024 Olympic Games

Ulugbek Rashitov from Uzbekistan became the champion in the category up to 68 kilograms for men

Korean Kim Yu-Jin won gold in taekwondo in the category up to 57 kilograms on Olympics 2024. Ulugbek Rashitov from Uzbekistan became the champion in the category up to 68 kilograms in men.

Kim confidently defeated Nahid Kiani of Iran in the final. The Korean dominated both rounds, 5-1 and 9-0. In the bronze medal matches, Skylar Park of Canada defeated Laetitia Aoun of Lebanon, and Alizadeh Kimia of Bulgaria defeated Luo Zongshi of China.

Rashitov defeated Zaid Karim from Jordan in the final. In the fight for bronze, Edival Pontes from Brazil defeated Spaniard Javier Perez. Another medal was won by Liu Yushuai from China – his opponent, British Bradley Sinden, withdrew from the fight.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
