Athletistic/OI-2024. The President of the All-Russian Federation of Kayak and Canoeing (VFGBK) Evgeny Arkhipov critically assessed the performance of Russian canoeist Olesya Romasenko, expressing the opinion that she should end her career in the big sport.

“An absolutely useless athlete. It is not known how she got to the 2024 Olympics, but this reflects the current state of our women’s canoeing. Perhaps, if we had not had difficult selection conditions, another athlete would have gone to the Games. Romasenko should end her career in major sports and go into tourism,” Arkhipov is quoted by Match TV.

Recall that Olesya Romasenko took fourth place in the quarterfinals of the 200 meters at the 2024 Olympic Games. Ukrainian Anastasia Rybachok took first place in this race. Romasenko is a five-time world championship silver medalist and four-time European champion.
