Dusmatov from Uzbekistan won gold at the 2024 Olympic Games in boxing in the weight category up to 51 kg. China’s Chang Yuan became Olympic champion in the weight category up to 54 kg

Dusmatov confidently defeated Frenchman Binnam in the final

On Olympic Games 2024 a set of medals was awarded in boxing in the weight category up to 51 kg among men – the gold was won by a representative of Uzbekistan Khasanboy Dusmatov.

In the final, Dusmatov defeated Frenchman Bilal Bennam. Bronze medals were won by Junior Alcantara of the Dominican Republic and Daniel Varela de Pina of Cape Verde, both of whom lost their semi-final matches.

Medals were also awarded in women’s boxing in the 54 kg weight category – the Olympic champion in Paris was a Chinese woman Chang Yuanwho in the final defeated the representative of Turkey, Hatice Akbash, by unanimous decision of the judges.

Bronze medals in the 54kg weight class were won by North Korea’s Pan Chol-Mi and South Korea’s Im Ae-Ji, both of whom lost in their semi-final bouts.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports. Ukraine will be represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during their participation in the Olympics.
