Figure skater who changed her sporting citizenship Sofia Samodelkina announced his inclusion in the Kazakhstan national team and also thanked the Russian coaches.

Svetlana Vladimirovna Sokolovskaya, who accepted me at CSKA and supported me in difficult times of adolescence. Evgeniy Viktorovich Plushenko, Yana Aleksandrovna Rudkovskaya and the entire technical staff of Plushenko’s Angels for the opportunity to train and improve at the Academy.

I want to thank the CSKA school, 12 years in the same school means a lot! There were victories, there were defeats, there were grievances, and there was a good attitude, attention and care. “Thanks to the leaders and members of the FFKKR executive committee, who supported my decision to compete for Kazakhstan,” the athlete wrote in Telegram channel .

In July, 17-year-old Samodelkina won the Kazakhstan Championship. For the figure skater, this Kazakhstan Championship was the first after changing her sports citizenship in 2023. The athlete was born in Moscow and has already participated in international competitions under the Russian flag.
