Athletistic / Athletics. Russian track and field athlete and world championship medalist Daria Klishina has confirmed that she has retired from the sport. The 33-year-old competed in the long jump.

Daria has not competed since 2021. In 2022, she gave birth to her second child.

Russian volunteer spoke about her attitude towards herself at the Paris Olympics

“I easily give up the sporting part of my life and enjoy what I have now. I haven’t missed the sector for a single day. Yes, it was a wonderful stage that I love, that I remember with fondness. Life goes on, and in it so many colors, so many things that can be done, that I was deprived of when I was training.

When you compete, you can’t devote free time to yourself, friends or longer vacations. Here you have a season, then preparation, then there are several weeks of rest in the second half of September – early October, where you try to put all your things in order.

“Why didn’t you announce your retirement? I didn’t announce it officially. It’s not that I didn’t want to put a final point – I’m not the person who needs the last triumph,” Klishina is quoted by Sport-Express.
