Japanese Ami Becomes First Breakdancing Olympic Champion

Two Ukrainian women took part in the Olympic tournament

On Olympic Games 2024 The first ever women’s final was held in Paris breaking.

The first champion in breaking was a 25-year-old Japanese woman Ami “Ami” Yuasa. In the final, she defeated 17-year-old Lithuanian Dominika “Nicka” Banevich – 3:0 (16:11 by votes). The bronze medal went to Chinese Liu “671” Qingyi.

It should be noted that two Ukrainians took part in the breaking tournament. Anna “Stefani” Ponomarenko finished performing in the group stage, and Ekaterina “Kate” Pavlenko lost to Chinese 671 in the quarter-finals.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competition will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports.
