The striker has signed a contract with Spurs until 2030
Tottenham announced the transfer of the forward Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke.
The striker has signed a contract with Spurs until the summer of 2030.
According to media reports, the transfer amounted to 57 million euros, with another 8 million provided as bonuses. In total, this could become a record transfer in the history of Tottenham – the previous record transfer was midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, for whom Lyon paid 62 million euros in 2019.
Solanke made his first steps in a senior shirt with Liverpool, where he played 21 matches in the Premier League in the 2017/18 season (scoring a goal and an assist). Then came a move to Brighton, where the 26-year-old forward has played for the last six seasons.
In the last Premier League campaign, Solanke played all 38 matches, recording 19 goals and 3 assists. The forward was also named the best player in December in the Premier League.
Tottenham finished fifth in the Premier League, losing the fight for the Champions League zone to Aston Villa. Ange Postecoglou’s team will begin the new season on August 19 with an away match against Leicester.
We are delighted to announce the signing of Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth.
Welcome to Tottenham, Dominic! 🤍
