The newcomers came from Shakhtar and Kryvbas on a one-year loan
Carpathians announced for the season Ukrainian Premier League two newcomers – a midfielder Miner Oleg Ocheretko and the attacker Krivbass Denis Ustimenko.
Both footballers joined the Lviv club on a one-year loan.
21-year-old Ocheretko is a Shakhtar youth product who played a total of 18 matches for the Miners’ first team (one goal, one assist), regularly being loaned out to Mariupol (2020-2022), Dnipro-1 (second half of the 2023/24 season).
Oleg has 24 matches, four goals and two assists as part of the Ukrainian youth team. Ocheretko played six matches for the Olympic team under the leadership of Ruslan Rotan (including three at the 2024 Olympics), and made one assist.
25-year-old Ustimenko began his adult career in Oleksandria, from where he moved to Kryvbas in 2022. The forward spent the second round of last season in Minai – 15 matches, five goals and two assists.
Karpaty returned to the elite division from the First League following the results of last season. Lviv appointed Lupashko as the first team coach in mid-July. Initially, Vladislav was preparing to lead the Lviv youth team, but he was promoted after Myron Markevych left.
In the first round of the new season, the Green-Whites played a draw away to Veres (0:0). In the second round, Vladislav Lupashko’s team will host Kryvbas on August 11. Sunday’s match will begin in Lviv at 15:30.
