Sereda took eighth place in the 2024 Olympics 10-meter platform diving final

The three-time Olympic champion in this discipline was the Chinese Cao Yuan.

Ukrainian Alexey Sereda took the final eighth place Olympic Games 2024 By diving from a 10-meter tower.

The 18-year-old athlete finished with a result of 426.90, which did not allow him to claim medals – the final eighth place. Let us recall that earlier today Sereda made it to the final with an 11th result.

The Olympic champion in this discipline was Cao Yuan, repeating his individual result on the 10-meter platform from the 2012 and 2020 Olympics. Second place went to 17-year-old Japanese Rikuto Tamai. Bronze went to Briton Noah Williams.

Yuan, 29, has won his sixth Olympic medal, four of which are gold. The Chinese athlete has previously won gold medals at the London, Rio and Tokyo Games.

Let us recall that Sereda also competed in Paris with Kirill Bolyukh in synchronized jumps from a similar height. In the final of the competition, the Ukrainian tandem took fifth place.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
