USA beats Hungary on penalties in bronze match

Serbia national team beat Croatia in the final of the men’s tournament water polo on Olympics 2024 — 13:11.

The Serbs made a breakthrough, taking a three-goal lead late in the first period. The remaining periods were tense, with the Croatians closing the gap but not catching up.

In the bronze medal match, the US team defeated Hungary. The regulation time ended in a draw (8:8), with the Americans making up for a two-goal deficit at the end of the match. In the penalty shootout, the US team was more accurate — 3:0.

The 2024 Olympic Games will end today, August 11. The closing ceremony will begin at 22:00 Kyiv time. Ukraine was represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
