Farewell to Honorary President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Valentin Piseev will take place on Wednesday in the farewell room of the Central Clinical Hospital No. 1, the press service of the Russian Figure Skating Federation reports.
The death of Piseev, 82, was announced on Monday.
“The funeral of Valentin Nikolayevich and the civil ceremony will take place on August 14 from 11:00 to 13:00 in the farewell room of the Central Clinical Hospital 1 of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation,” the message said.
Piseev was elected president of the Soviet Figure Skating Federation in 1989, and after its dissolution he headed the FFKKR. From 2010 to 2014 he served as the organization’s CEO.
