The national team included 29 players: 3 goalies, 9 defenders and 17 forwards. The final roster of the national team will include 23 hockey players.

Dmitry Khristich’s team will begin training on August 16 in Budapest. The final part of the training camp will be a friendly match against the Hungarian team on August 25.

Some players will join the national team during the training camp in connection with club training camps and scheduled matches.

In the preliminary round of Olympic qualification, the blue-yellows defeated South Korea (4:0), beat the Polish team (3:2) in a shootout, and triumphed over Estonia (5:3).

In the final round, Khristić’s team will play France, Slovenia and Latvia. The matches will be held in Riga from August 29 to September 1. The winner of the quartet will receive a ticket to the 2026 Olympic Games.
