Athletistic / Olympic Games. On August 11, the last day of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, the final of the men’s water polo tournament was played between the national teams of Serbia and Croatia. During the meeting, Serbian fans unfurled a combined Russian-Serbian flag, despite the ban on Russian symbols by the 2024 Olympic Games Organizing Committee and the IOC.
The social media account DD Geopolitics published a video of the final of the water polo tournament at the Olympic Games in the French capital, where Serbian fans can be seen demonstrating in the stands with a banner made up of halves of the flags of Serbia and Russia, joined in the center by a coat of arms in the shape of a double-headed eagle.
It is worth noting that the IOC, before the start of the 2024 Olympic Games, issued a special order banning the appearance of state symbols of Russia and Belarus at the Paris Games. This applied not only to athletes, but also to fans.
The Serbian water polo team defeated the Croatian team in the final (13:11) and won the gold medal at the third consecutive Olympic Games.
