Atlanta United approach Roma with a request for Shomurodov transfer

The parties are conducting successful negotiations

Atlanta United turned to Roma with a request for a forward transfer Eldora Shomurodova.

The parties are successfully negotiating. The striker’s current contract runs until the end of June 2026.

The Uzbek joined the Romans in August 2021. Since then, Eldor has been loaned to Spezia and Cagliari, and has played a total of 48 matches for Wolves, scoring six goals and making six assists.

Roma have been active in the transfer market this summer in terms of attack. The Romans have signed Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk, and Ola Solbakken has also returned to the team. But striker Tammy Abraham is close to moving to Milan.

Wolves are sixth in the 2023/24 Serie A standings. Roma with Daniele De Rossi also reached the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they lost to Bayer.

Roma will face Cagliari in the first round of the new season. Atlanta United is in ninth place in the MLS Eastern Conference standings after 25 games.
