Athletistic/Chess. Dagestan chess player Amina Abakarova, accused of trying to poison her rival Umaiganat Osmanova with mercury, has been expelled from the Chess Federation of the republic, the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the republic Sazhid Sazhidov announced.

“Experts have confirmed that Amina Abakarova did indeed use mercury to treat her opponent’s table. This behavior absolutely does not correspond to sports standards, which is why she was expelled from the Chess Federation of the Republic. In the future, law enforcement agencies will give a legal assessment of her actions,” Sazhidov is quoted by TASS.

Umaiganat Osmanova, who suffered from the incident, said that Amina Abakarova did not even apologize to her. “According to information from our mutual friends, Abakarova does not consider herself guilty and is sure that she did the right thing,” Osmanova said in an interview with RT.

Amina Abakarova refused to comment on the situation, saying: “Why do you think I should comment on this filth? If you were a real journalist, you would not get involved in these women’s quarrels and squabbles.
