Members of the executive committee of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF) have unanimously approved Sergei Kostin’s candidacy for the post of executive director, according to the organization’s website.
It is worth noting that Kostin’s candidacy was proposed by ARAF President Pyotr Ivanov.
Kostin previously worked as the executive director and general secretary of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU), director of the Dynamo hockey academy named after A.M. Chernyshev, and executive director of the Lokomotiv-Kuban basketball club.
Kostin takes office as ARAF Executive Director on August 15.
