IBA and ARAF have concluded a cooperation agreement

President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Oumar Kremlev and the President of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF) Petr Ivanov signed a cooperation agreement, the correspondent reports.

The subject of the agreement was the organization of boxing races and Russian athletics championships.

— The boxing race competition has existed for a long time. Athletics is one of the basic sports. We agreed on everything with Umar Nazarovich a long time ago. It is important for us to coordinate the competition schedule. We agreed that even though these competitions are largely amateur, we want athletes who, for one reason or another, are subject to disciplinary responsibility, not to be allowed to participate in these competitions.

“As part of this agreement, we agree on mutual cooperation. This is not limited to coordinating schedules and presenting requirements to disqualified athletes. This will lay the foundation for our further interaction,” the correspondent reports, based on Ivanov’s words.

— Athletics is the queen of sports. And boxing is the flagship of this sport. Everything is nearby. I would like to support our athletes. In athletics, they often tried to exclude and ban our athletes from competing. I suggested that we start developing our kind together. We want the prize money to start increasing in athletics. However, we are connected with athletics in one way or another. We also want to announce that in Yekaterinburg, at the Russian Championship, if athletes perform at the Olympic level, we will pay them money, like the winners of the Games. 50 thousand dollars each.
