Coach Irina Simakova, who works with Russian Paralympic team swimmer Victoria Ishiulova, said in an interview with that three team representatives were not included in the list for the trip to Paris.

On Tuesday, an open training session of Russian swimmers took place in Kaluga ahead of the Paralympic Games in the French capital, which will be held from August 28 to September 8.

— I can say about my athlete that in five distances we will win four medals. This is if you focus on the world ranking. Specifically, this is the 100m breaststroke, where we must be among the top six. In the backstroke, we will fight hard for silver with the Englishwoman. We will also have the 200m medley, 50m freestyle and the main distance – 100m butterfly. We hope that there will be at least one gold medal here.

—Who, besides Victoria, should we watch at the Paralympics?

“Our oldest athlete is our god, who will take part in the fifth Paralympic Games,” Andrey Kalina said. – It will be, right? I will tell everyone. This is very good news, because the Olympics were not broadcast. Watch us and cheer for us. And the fact that the Russian anthem is banned – instead I will shout “Bravo!” “I have a clear voice,” Simakova told .

Earlier, the President of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) Pavel Rozhkov told that the organization had sent applications of 92 athletes to the Paralympic Games Organizing Committee. It is expected that 48 track and field athletes, 35 swimmers, five table tennis athletes, two triathlon and two taekwondo athletes will take part in the Games in the French capital.
