Captain of Dynamo Moscow Natalia Goncharova appealed to the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) against the decision of the federation’s disciplinary commission regarding his disqualification, Vladimir Zinichev, general director of the capital club, told .

In May, Goncharova was disqualified from a match of the Russian championship and given a six-month suspended sentence for unsportsmanlike behavior. The Dynamo captain made an indecent gesture towards Lokomotiv Kaliningrad volleyball player Ebrard Karakurt in response to provocations from the Turkish diagonal after the playoff match of the Super League semi-final. A second meeting of the VFV disciplinary commission took place on July 26 with the participation of Zinichev and Goncharova, the commission confirmed the sanctions against the Dynamo volleyball player. The VFV did not conduct any proceedings against Karakurt.

This time the disciplinary commission tried to approach this issue seriously, but the essence has not changed, the decision remained the same. What is happening around this situation has caused legitimate indignation among our fans; this case has received a wide response.

On Thursday, on behalf of Natalia, we filed a complaint with the VFW Arbitration Court against the decision of the Disciplinary Commission regarding Goncharova. We hope that the arbitration, unlike the Disciplinary Commission, will not wait until the end of the season to consider the issue, but will do so more quickly.

It is obvious to any impartial person that the disciplinary commission, when deciding to punish Goncharova, also punishes the club. For the player’s violation last season, the Dynamo club (Moscow) receives a sanction in the new season. Moreover, it receives it not in the first calendar match of the season, but in the eighth match of the season, taking into account the matches of the Legends Cup and the match of the Russian Super Cup.
