Olympic champion in high jump Yaroslav Maguchikh donated 500 thousand hryvnia patronage service of the NSU brigade “Azov” for the treatment of Ukrainian soldiers with severe neurotrauma.

Earlier, the athlete transferred one million hryvnia to an organization for the rescue of animals and the environment and four more animal shelters. Yaroslava earned the money for the donations as prize money for the gold medal at the 2024 Olympics.

On July 7, Maguchikh broke the world record for high jump, which had stood since 1987 – Yaroslava cleared a height of 2.10 m at the Diamond League stage in Paris.

And at the Games in Paris, the Ukrainian cleared a height of 2.00 m. This was enough for Olympic gold. Yaroslava became the first athlete in the history of Ukraine to win two medals in athletics at the Olympic Games: she had previously won bronze in the high jump in Tokyo in 2021.
