Today, under the guidance of a Serbian specialist, Minaj started in the First League
Head coach Minaya Zeljko Ljubenovic announced that he would remain in his position despite the fact that after winning Ukrainian Cup over Rock 1911 (3:1) announced his intention to resign.
“I’m staying on the team. We’ve solved all the problems that we had. I’m staying to achieve the goals that we have.”
Today, under the leadership of Lyubenovich, Minaj started in the First League, winning a home victory over Prykarpattya (4:2).
Lyubenovich took charge of Minaj before the start of the second round of the 2023/24 season. The Transcarpathian team under the leadership of the Serb almost performed a miracle and remained in the UPL, but still, after a defeat in the final round from Kryvbas (0:3), they dropped to the First League. The chance to stay in the elite division was thanks to the “tournament of four”, but in its final Minaj lost to the Left Bank (0:3) and finally remained in the First League for the 2024/25 season.
Minaj will play his next match in the Ukrainian Cup – on August 21, Zeljko Ljubenovic’s team will host Victoria.
