Kholmogorov became Russian athletics champion in the 800m

Konstantin Kholmogorov won first place in the 800 meters at the Russian Athletics Championships in Yekaterinburg.

Kholmogorov showed a result of 1 minute 48.86 seconds. Maxim Shelikh took second place (1:49.15), Artemy Nikitin won bronze (1:49.36). In the same discipline among women, Maria Prokhorets took first place (2.01.88). Olga Rodioshkina won silver (2.03.02), the third result was shown by Veronika Mazunina (2.04.36).

In the men’s long jump, Danil Chechela became the champion of Russia with a score of 7.79 meters. The second place went to Danil Kornev (7.77), the bronze to Kirill Shumkov (7.52). Among the women, Ekaterina Levitskaya became the best (6.47). Elena Sokolova took second place (6.47), Veronica Semashko took third place (6.43).

Belarusian athlete Elvira Graborenko showed the best result in the 100m hurdles – 12.82 seconds. Victoria Pogrebnyak (13.09) became the champion of Russia, Valeria Gromova won silver (13.21), Ksenia Primak won bronze (13.41).

Belarusian Maxim Andraloit showed the best result in the decathlon – 8085 points. Stepan Kekin became the champion of Russia (7943). Silver went to Alexander Komarov (7705), bronze to Arseny Elfimov (7658).

In the women’s discus throw, Violetta Ignatieva became the champion of Russia (56.57), Elena Panova became second (56.35), the third place went to Natalia Karpova (55.35).

In the 3000 m steeplechase, Konstantin Plokhotnikov became the champion of Russia (8:32.49). The second place went to Eduard Batyrshin (8:35.93), the third place went to Belarusian Dmitry Ivanenko (8:36.33). Maxim Yakushev won the bronze of the Russian Championship (8:40.80). In the women’s category, Ekaterina Ivonina won the same discipline, exceeding the Olympic standard with a score of 9:21.58. The second place went to Anna Tropina (9:40.77), the third result was achieved by Belarusian Tatyana Shabanova (9:48.59). Anastasia Krasilnikova won the bronze (9:56.09).
