The Ukrainian reached the semi-final stage at the WTA level for the first time in her career
Ukrainian tennis player Anastasia Soboleva lost in the semi-finals of the tournament WTA 125 V Barranquilla (Colombia).
Anastasia met with the fourth seed Nadiya Podoroska from Argentina. All three sets followed a similar scenario. In the first set, Podoroska won five games in a row. In the second set, the Ukrainian allowed her opponent to take only one game. In the decisive set, the Argentine tennis player left no chance.
In the first round, Soboleva beat Maria Perez from Colombia, then beat Martina Okalova from Slovakia. Then in the quarterfinals, the Ukrainian beat Victoria Grunchakova from Slovakia.
Soboleva set her own record at WTA tournaments. Already reaching the quarterfinals for Anastasia was the first in her career at this level.
