Valery Pronkin became the winner of the Russian PSB Athletics Championship in hammer throw.
In his last attempt, Pronkin threw the projectile 79.24 meters and met the Olympic qualification standard (78.20). For this achievement, Pronkin will receive one million rubles from the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF).
The second place was taken by Andrei Romanov (74.69), the third result was shown by Belarusian Alexander Shimanovich (72.69).
In the 200-meter race, Yulia Karavaeva became the national champion – 23.10 seconds. Natalia Kombarova finished second (23.17), Vera Filatova third (23.33).
At a similar distance in men, Konstantin Krylov won – 20.79. Andrey Lukin (21.03) took second place, Alexander Nikolaev (21.19) took third place.
