Polina Knoroz became the winner of the Russian Athletics Championship PSB in pole vault.
On her third attempt, Knoroz reached the Olympic standard of 4.73 meters. For this feat, the 25-year-old athlete will receive one million rubles from the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF). Tatyana Kalinina (4.63) took second place in the competition, Aksana Gataullina (4.63) took third place.
Sofia Palkina won the Russian championship in hammer throw for the fifth time in a row. In her best attempt, the athlete sent the projectile 72.40 meters. Anastasia Grigorieva took second place (70.71). The third result was shown by Elena Soboleva (69.44) from Belarus.
Konstantin Plokhotnikov won the 1500 meters in 3 minutes 40.77 seconds. Egor Limonov finished second (3:41.05) and Sergey Dubrovsky third (3:41.07). At a similar distance in women, Svetlana Aplachkina became the national champion (4:02.71). Alexandra Gulyaeva took second place (4.08.06), third place went to Liliya Mendaeva (4.09.42).
World Championship silver medalist Ekaterina Koneva became the best in the triple jump – 14.04 m. The second place went to Daria Nidbaikina (13.93), the third result went to Violetta Skvortsova from Belarus (13.89).
