Olympic swimming medalist Anastasia Kirpichnikova told that she could have ended her career without coach Dmitry Shalagin.
Shalagin coached Kirpichnikova before moving to France and joining Philippe Luc’s group. In 2023, she changed her sporting nationality to French. Shalagin continues to train, despite having already been diagnosed with cancer.
