Russian Maxim Spesivtsev took second place in the 5,000-meter single kayak competition at the Goodwill Cup tournament, which took place on the Moscow Rowing Canal.
Spesivtsev covered the distance in 21 minutes 26.491 seconds. The victory was taken by Belarusian Oleg Yurenya (20.48.111), with his compatriot Vladislav Kravets third (22.21.581).
In the women’s competition, Belarusian representative Vladislava Skriganova (24.11.562) won in a similar discipline, Russian Elena Mironchenko (24.45.009) finished second and Belarusian Lyudmila Sinkel (25.00.012) finished third.
Belarusian Ivan Potapenko (23.59.919) won the men’s single canoe 5000m final. The top three were Russians Roman Erlinekov (24.17.334) and Ivan Dmitriev (24.37.794). In the women’s race, Belarusian Olga Klimova took the lead in this distance (27.18.734).
