Sterling wants to clarify his Chelsea future after being left out of the squad for the first leg against Manchester City

Mudrik’s experienced competitor will probably change clubs this summer

Winger Raheem Sterling intends to clarify Chelsea his future at the club. The Englishman was not included in the squad for the first round match EPL against Manchester Cityand the footballer’s representatives admitted that they did not expect this from the head coach Enzo Mareschi.

Sterling’s omission was all the more surprising given the 29-year-old has featured in all six of Chelsea’s pre-season games, with Maresca calling Raheem “an important player”.

Recall that last week information emerged that Juventus was interested in Sterling’s services, who is exploring the possibility of a transfer. It was reported that Rahim himself was ready to move to the Old Lady after Chelsea completed the purchase of Pedro Neto.

The Englishman’s current contract runs until the summer of 2027. Last season, Sterling scored 10 goals and made eight assists in 43 matches, competing for a place in the starting lineup with Ukrainian Mykhailo Mudryk.

There is a break in the Chelsea – Manchester City match, the visitors are leading (1:0) after a goal by Erling Haaland. Mudrik started this game on the bench.
