Born to Win fails to win third trophy in 2024
Ukrainian eSports organization Natus Vincere lost Team Vitality in the grand final of the tournament IEM Cologne 2024 By Counter-Strike 2.
The Hornets beat NAVI with a score of 3:1 (Nuke – 16:14, Dust II – 10:13, Mirage – 22:20, Inferno – 13:9).
For winning IEM Cologne 2024, Team Vitality received $400,000, as well as tickets to IEM Katowice 2025 and BLAST Premier World Final. NAVI earned $180,000. MOUZ and SAW took 3rd and 4th place.
This is Team Vitality’s first title in 2024. In May, the Hornets reached the final of ESL Pro League Season 19, where they lost to MOUZ (0:3), and in June, they lost to G2 Esports (1:2) in the decisive match of IEM Dallas 2024.
NAVI still has two trophies left in 2024. In March, the Ukrainian organization won PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, the first-ever CS2 major, and in July, they became the champion of Esports World Cup 2024.
IEM Cologne 2024 took place from August 7 to 18 in Germany. 24 teams competed for a prize pool of $1 million.
