Athletistic / Figure skating. Russian figure skater Alexandra Trusova, a silver medalist at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, is set to perform two quadruple lutz in the free skate at the Russian team’s skating tests in St. Petersburg.

According to RIA Novosti Sport, the 20-year-old Russian is now actively training this element and is also working on a triple axel on the rod. It is reported that Trusova currently has no plans to insert a triple axel into her free program.

Alesandra Trusova will perform skating tests for the national team on September 13-14. She will make the final decision on this based on the results of summer training. Alexandra is now training under the guidance of two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko.

At the 2022 Beijing Olympics, Alexandra Trusova became the first woman in the history of women’s figure skating to perform five quadruple jumps in one skate. However, after the Olympics, Trusova’s career began to decline. She suffered from back pain all last season and also missed the Russian Championship due to ARVI. In the 2023/2024 season, Trusova performed exclusively in the show.

Note that on August 17, Alexandra Trusova married Russian figure skater Makar Ignatov.
