PSG faces transfer ban and exclusion from European competitions if debt to Mbappe not paid

The striker appealed to UEFA due to the Parisians’ failure to pay 55 million euros in wages

Attack Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe appealed to UEFA and the French League of Professional Footballers (LFP) regarding the debt of his former club PSG in size 55 million eurosIf the Parisians are found guilty, the club faces a transfer ban and the loss of its license to participate in European competitions.

Mbappe initially wrote an official letter to PSG regarding the debt. The Parisians confirmed in June that negotiations with the footballer were ongoing. The issue concerns Kylian’s salary for three months, as well as some previously agreed bonuses.

The LFP legal committee has the right to prohibit the club from signing new players if the claims regarding Kylian’s debt are justified. Mbappe also asked the French Football Federation to inform UEFA about the situation. One of the criteria for granting a license to participate in European competitions is the absence of wage arrears.

Mbappe has been a Paris Saint-Germain player for the past six years, having joined from Monaco. At the end of the club season, the player became a free agent. Kylian played 48 matches for PSG in all competitions last season, scoring 44 goals and providing 10 assists.

It was previously reported that Kylian will earn 15 million euros per season in Spain. The striker will also receive a signing bonus of 150 million euros, which will be paid over five years. Mbappe will retain a percentage of the image rights.

Real drew 1-1 with Mallorca in the first round of La Liga. The Blancos will host Valladolid in their next match on August 25.
