The Argentine specialist will combine two positions
Head coach Ukrainian national volleyball team Raul Lozano got a job in Poland Charney. The 68-year-old Argentine will combine two positions. At the club from Radom, the specialist will perform the role of coach-coordinator.
Raul has previously worked at the club, as head coach in the 2015/16 season. In his nearly half-century coaching career, Lozano has led 14 different clubs in five countries, as well as the national teams of Spain (twice), Poland, Germany, Iran and China.
Let us recall that in April 2024, Lozano was officially approved as the head coach of the Ukrainian men’s national team. Under his leadership, the blue-and-yellows won the Golden Euroleague in June. In July, Lozano’s team was in contention for a prize place in the 2024 Candidates Cup, but dramatically lost to Egypt in the match for third place.
The Ukrainian men’s team is ranked 14th in the world rankings with 196 points. In the European rankings, the Ukrainians are in eighth place.
