Betis close to signing striker Barcelona Vitor Roque on loan until the end of the season.
The clubs are finalizing the details of the operation. Barcelona wants to include a buyout option for a high sum in the contract, as well as a clause on the player’s buyback.
It was previously reported that Roque had agreed to a move to Sporting, but is now leaning towards a club from Spain. Barcelona also prefers a deal with Betis – the blue-garnets were unable to agree with the Portuguese club on the possibility of a buyback.
Vitor Roque joined Barcelona in January 2024 from Atletico Paranaense. He played 16 matches for the Catalans in all competitions last season, scoring two goals. Barcelona had previously rejected Everton, who offered 25 million euros for Roque, plus three million in bonuses.
Betis is Kryvbas’s opponent in the Conference League qualification playoffs. The first match of the confrontation will be held in Kosice on August 22, where the nominal hosts will be the Kryvyi Rih team.
Barcelona beat Valencia 2-1 in the first round of the 2024/25 Primera. Hans-Dieter Flick’s team will host Athletic in their next match on August 24.
