The Czech Republic refused to host the Cross-Country Skiing World Cup for economic reasons.

The Czech Ski Association has refused to host the Cross-Country Skiing World Cup, the press service of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) reports.

The stage was scheduled to take place from January 31 to February 2, 2025 in Nove Mesto. The Czech side said it made the decision “for economic reasons.”

The FIS is currently studying the possibilities of changing the venue of the World Cup. The decision will be made at the FIS Autumn Meeting, which will take place from September 24 to 27.

The Ski World Cup for the 2024/25 season starts at the end of November.
