Chilean’s start to new season postponed indefinitely
Attack Udinese Alexis Sanchez sustained the injury during training. The Chilean was diagnosed with a myofascial contusion distraction injury of the middle part of the left leg.
The player will undergo further tests to assess the extent of the injury and the recovery time. However, Alexis’ return to the pitch in Serie A has been delayed and he is expected to miss Udinese’s upcoming matches.
Let us recall that Sanchez moved to the Friulian club in early August. The 35-year-old Chilean’s contract runs until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Udinese is the first club in Alexis Sánchez’s busy European career, with the Friulians between 2008 and 2011 before moving to Barcelona.
Udinese drew 1-1 with Bologna in the first round of the new Serie A season without Sanchez. The Friulians will host Lazio in their next match on August 24.
