The 20-year-old Cameroonian spent the previous season at Croatian side Slaven Belupo
Veres announced a historic transfer for himself. The club’s ranks will be joined by a Cameroonian winger Samuel Nongowho came from a Turkish Super League club Adana Demirspor.
The details of the transfer have not yet been disclosed. According to information from open sources, Nongo will sign a three-year contract, and the deal will cost the Rivne club 100 thousand euros.
The transfer has not yet been officially confirmed, but Veres’ sporting director Yuri Gabovda speaks of it as a fait accompli:
“This is a historic transfer in the history of our club, without exaggeration. After lengthy negotiations with Turkish Adana Demirspor, we came to an agreement to sign Cameroonian winger Samuel Nongo.”
Nongo is 20 years old. His main position is right winger, but he can play all over the attacking front. He moved to Adana Demirspor in the summer of 2022. He played only three matches for the first team, and spent the 2023/24 season on loan at the Croatian Slaven Belupo – 17 appearances, one goal scored.
Veres scored only one point in the first three rounds of the UPL. Tomorrow, August 22, the Rivne team will play Metalist 1925 in the 3rd preliminary round of the Ukrainian Cup, and on the 26th they will travel to Kolos as part of the championship.
