“Unfortunately, Bach himself and the IOC were influenced by the business model that works in practice. Most of his sponsors are large transatlantic companies, mainly with Western capital, which put pressure on the IOC. Bach was unable to overcome this political pressure, despite all his efforts. So it is difficult to say whether his successor will become better or worse,” Pozdniakov noted in an interview with TASS.
Let us recall that Thomas Bach will not seek a new mandate. He has been IOC President since autumn 2013.
