“The investigation into this matter is in its final stages,” the statement said.
Valieva helped the Russian figure skating team win gold in the team competition at the 2022 Olympics, but Kamila has been accused of breaking anti-doping rules. The athlete allegedly used the banned substance trimetazidine.
In individual skating, Valieva became 4th. Gold was won by Anna Shcherbakova.
