President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (RFSR) Elena Vyalbe said that Russian athletes must be even stronger than before when they return to international competitions.
Russian skiers have been suspended by decision of the International Ski Federation (FIS) due to the situation in Ukraine.
— Congratulations to everyone on the National Flag Day. Like no one else, we know what the tricolour is, which flies in honour of our athletes. Each person is a cog in a system that could bring an athlete to the World Championships, the Olympic Games and the national championships.
“We are not only involved in elite sports, we cooperate with the regions, and coaches ask for solutions to certain problems. Maybe today we are far from something, but when we return (to international competitions), we will have to be even stronger than yesterday,” a correspondent reports, according to Vyalbe’s words.
