The Los Angeles Olympics will take place from July 14 to 30, 2028. The city previously hosted the Games in 1932 and 1984.
“Los Angeles is a city in a country that will probably not give us the opportunity to participate in the Olympic Games. We have not played in the United States once yet. We also had countries at the Olympics that did not participate, but no one suffered from it – our men did not fight with women, everything went well: the stadiums were full, the bear flew away, and there was friendship between all the people. And in Paris, the Russians were completely excluded from the list of participants: they were forbidden to approach journalists and participate in the opening and closing ceremonies. We have never had anything like this and I think we will never have it. We have a different mentality and our own values,” Wiener said at the “Territory of Meanings” forum.
- Wiener: “If Coe or Duda lead the IOC, we should not expect anything good for Russia”
