Athletistic/Figure Skating. Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis has announced his intention to impose sanctions on Lithuanian figure skaters Margarita Drobyazko and Povilas Vanagas for their intention to perform in Tatyana Navka’s Swan Lake show in Sochi.

“I am ready to participate in the discussion on this issue and I am ready to support this proposal,” Landsbergis said on the airwaves of the ERT television channel.

They want to deprive the couple of the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Gediminas, received in 2000, in addition, they also want to deprive Drobyazko of Lithuanian citizenship.

Tatyana Navka’s show “Swan Lake” will be presented in Sochi from August 9 to September 18.

Margartira Drobyazko was born in Moscow, after the collapse of the USSR, she represented Lithuania. For 13 consecutive years, together with Povilas Vanagas, she became champion of Lithuania.
